We had a lovely day today with Ni Wayan Sumadi on the Bali bird walk. For 4 hours she walked us around the rice paddies pointing out birds, butterflies and bugs. We saw 14 or 15 of the birds on the list, the Kingfisher being the most colorful and the herons the most plentiful. We didn't get many photos - this one was lifted from Google images.
Silver leaf fern....when you apply it to your arm and apply pressure, it leaves a perfect silvery-white imprint.
Ni Wayan Sumadi. Ni indicates she is female (male is "I"), Wayan is the name of the oldest child in a family, regardless of male or female and Sumadi is her nickname...or the name she commonly uses.
