In Shiraz at the tomb of the great Iranian poet Hafeziah, people wanted to take pictures with us. One of the teenaged girls asked if she could kiss and hug me because I reminded her of her grandmother. She was lovely. We met a family from Vancouver on the plane...they left Iran when their teenaged son, now 17, was 3. A charming kid, he asked us a lot of questions and had lovely manners. This family and two Americans, now living in Thailand, are following the same route as us around the country.
Nadia looks like Mira Servino at times and at others like "The girl with the pearl earring".
At the citadel, Arg-e Karim Khan Zand.
Teens pushing the limits of the dress code. Above all, the ass must be disguised or covered. Women cannot ride bikes or motorcycles lest a bit of ass show. I was surprised to learn today that no woman's voice can be heard in concert or on the radio.
In the lovely bath at the citadel.
Yes, Nadia does look like Mira and the girl with the pearl earring.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking this trip for all of us ! I'm really enjoying it.
