The end. Finis. Kaput.

After only two or three rides on Mack Air, the bush plane service in Botswana, the zipper on my squash able bag (required because it must be jammed into the cargo hold) went on strike and refused to work. The only solution we had was to secure it with a roll of packaging tape the people at Little Vumbura gave to us. Liberally applied, the tape created an overall design effect somewhere between ultra chic and homeless. Despite its glamour I chose to retire it permanently in J'burg. RIP.

48 days of travel went incredibly smoothly, almost flawlessly, until the end...our Delta flight was a little late. About 20 hours late.

The flight to Atlanta is 17 hours in duration ...we're on the flight as I write this. Here's how I looked just before boarding. Travel weary?

Here's what we almost wish would happen....
Instead we'll be greeting Mr. Ambien in a couple of hours....I have one more movie to watch before passing out.

  1. Another great trip. Atlanta can be such a drag.

  2. I don't know how you do it!
But I love the stories afterwards!
