Sepia Saturday #335: My Koala

This photo of me (sorry about the hair) was taken in a park somewhere near Sydney in 1984. Looking at the image, I can remember the snuggly feeling of the drowsy little creature nestled in my arms. I just don't know what else I can say......
Amble slowly over to Sepia Saturday for more cuddly stories about Koalas and perhaps, yawns!

  2. No further words are needed. I’ve never held a Koala but I feel as if I have when I look at this and read your description.

  3. I like your hair – we all wore it like that in the 80s. I did anyway and so did my husband!
I am very jealous of your cuddle with a Koala. I've seen them in Australia but seeing is not the same as holding.

  4. Koalas are great snugglers, they will cuddle up to anyone once accustomed to doing it. Sweet photo of you and it.

  7. Koalas do look cuddly, just like a little baby. But after reading Jo's post, I have to remind myself they are not. Still, a great photo!

  8. Hi Helen, I was sure I left you a comment but no matter I will leave it again. Love your hair, we all had it like that in the 80s. You don't need to say anything else about the photo, it speaks for itself. Lovely.

  9. Don't be sorry about the hair! When I was in high school, all the girls wanted hair like that.

  11. Too cute. After reading someone else's link to Koala biology, they are only active for a few hours a day and sleep the rest so as to digest the nearly indigestible Eucalyptus leaves.
